Brinnon P&R District 2.0

Brinnon Parks and Recreation District has rebooted its efforts to bring recreational activities to our community. On April 11, 2018 the Commission approved its 1, 3, 5 year goals. Year 1 goals included the following:

  • Stabilize Commissioners turnover
  • Meet consistently
  • Update operating documents (Bylaws, Mission Statement)
  • Establish relationships/partnerships with other community organizations; develop list community organizations
  • Complete two events/program(s)
  • Apply for grants and participate in fundraisers
  • Submit all regulatory documents within deadlines
  • Be advocates for community needs

We are working with community and public/private sectors to provide programs/events in 2018. This is a very exciting time and we believe it is only the beginning. The plan is to build upon our successes each year until we have robust programming year-round. We have one open commissioner seat if you are interested in learning more about being a commissioner and joining the effort to provide recreational services to our community, please send your letter of interest to bgrahama@brinnonparksandrec.org.
